Why this blog ?

I tried, with this blog, to reconstitute the history of this ephemeral hotel (1927-1939). This building which surprised and still surprises, constitutes the most important « Art Deco » architectural testimony of Dinard's golden age, the Roaring Twenties.

I want to thank Mr. Pierre André Hélène, a great historian of the palaces, whose book introduced me to the concept of “hotel archeology” ; the Heritage office of the city of Dinard which, by beeing so interest in my research, encouraged me to continue ; Mrs. Laurence Cotard-Lambert, biographer of Marcel Oudin ; Mr. Bayol and Mr. Fonmarty for the English version of the blog and all the collectors, of course, without which this blog would have not seen the light of the day.
